COVID-19: Services and Programs

The Oceana County Council on Aging (OCCOA) is trying to do our part to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 and other illnesses. The safety, health, and well-being of the seniors in Oceana County as well as our staff are our first priority, therefore, OCCOA is closing the Center and Our Friends House Adult Day Service to seniors, Monday, March 16 until April 6, 2020.

The Center will be staffed to take inquiries or offer assistance. We will continue to provide updates as they come available. For questions please contact 873-4461.

Meals & Activities

There will be no activities or social gatherings at the Center, however, we will continue to provide meals on a takeout basis or delivery for non-driving seniors. You can find our current menu here. To reserve a meal, please contact 873-4461.

Transportation

Bus services including rides to doctor’s appointments, grocery shopping, etc. will run as scheduled. Volunteer driving services to out of county medical appointments will also still be available.

Homemaking

Homemaking, respite, and personal care will also be continuing with daily well checks prior to entering homes to ensure both parties are healthy.
