COVID-19: Programs and Services

We are trying to keep you updated about the status of each of our Programs and Services on this page. Please keep in mind that some information might be outdated, as the situation is quickly changing. In addition to the information on this page, our full Reopening Guidelines can be downloaded on the bottom of this page.

🟢 Activities/Recreation

We are returning to indoor programs, scheduled one at a time to allow for proper cleaning and sanitizing between activities. We kindly ask you to make a reservation in adavance for each activity you would like to attend. You can find all our upcoming activities in our online calendar.


🟢 Fitness

We are happy to offer various fitness programs again. Please check out our online calendar for upcoming events.


🟢 Health Care

In cooperation with our partners, we are able to provide Foot Clinic, Hearing Clinic and Blood Pressure Check appointments again. Please check out our online calendar for upcoming dates and details.


🟢 Homemaking

All in home services are being resumed again, with daily well checks prior to entering homes to ensure both parties are healthy.


🟢 Lunch

We are fully open for indoor Lunch. Meal pick-up is no longer available, but delivery is still possible for those who are homebound. As always, you can find our current menu in our online calendar. We kindly ask you to call at least one business day in advance to reserve a meal or to schedule a deliery. For more details please refer to the Reopening Notice.


🟢 Transportation

The Oceana County Council on Aging Transportation has resumed services again. For the safety of all passengers and drivers, you are kindly asked to wear a mask while riding on our busses. Please call or contact the Transportation Office with any questions.


🟡 Adult Day Service (Our Friends House)

Our Friends House is currently open during our limited opening hours from Monday-Thursday, 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.


🔴 Breakfast

Unfortunately, we aren't offering any breakfast currently. Updates will be announced on this page.


 

Mask Mandate at the OCCOA

If you are fully vaccinated, meaning you have received both shots and it has been more than 14 days since the second shot, a mask is not mandatory. If you are not fully vaccinated, masks are mandatory until further notice. Temperature checks will still be taken. You must also be able to answer no to all health questions posted at the entrance.

COVID-19 Vaccine

The Oceana County Council on Aging is working with District Health Department #10 (DHD#10) to ensure that all seniors in Oceana County can get vaccinated as quickly as possible. Please note that the OCCOA is unable to schedule vaccines, however, we can assist seniors in getting registered with DHD#10, so registered individuals can be scheduled when vaccines become available.
